Security

Safety/Training Manager
Full
Constantly coordinate and manage all safety programs and fire protection systems. Develop, oversee and maintain the Gold Strike Safety Committee and all safety sub groups. Constantly knowledgeable of Hotel, Casino and Department Operations, Policies and Procedures for the purpose of safety inspections and other types of special investigations. Constantly posses knowledge in machinery operation, use of tools, vehicles, knowledge of OSHA and ANSI regulations, Fire Department and NFPA Regulations, State and County Laws. Frequently review and investigate employee and guest accidents, work as a liaison with Risk Management in all of the above regulations and laws. Counsel employees who are unfamiliar with safety practices. Frequently coordinate inspections by our major insurance carriers, state and local Fire Marshals and OSHA. Constantly review all OSHA Regulations and Programs. Obtain legal opinions for setting up new programs at Gold Strike, to include training and/or licensing of employees for the forklift truck, Bloodborne Pathogens Program, Respirator Lung Physical Program, Annual Hearing Conservation and others as guided by OSHA and our insurance carriers. Frequently create forms for safety compliance, i.e., driver’s training, employee and guest accidents, safety inspections, restaurant equipment safety checklists, safety audit/check lists, equipment safety checks and for every program in safety. Frequently conduct property safety inspections and provide abatement suggestions to affected departments. Develop safety training programs and conduct training for company and department management and employees to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. Conduct regular audits of company employee’s performance and knowledge of Safety and Security related programs. Occasionally plan, get permits and review set-up of all special projects, i.e., slot tournament events, New Years and all other events are investigated for safety and any liabilities for the property. Develop, coordinate and conduct the Safety and Security training for company new hire and security department orientation. Promotes officers’ understanding and compliance with all policy and procedures for an effective operation. Other duties as assigned by the Director or assignments as assigned by the Director or his/her designee. Bachelor degree and five years of security experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Previous supervision or management experience required. Experience in security, safety and training. Proven Knowledge of Federal, State, local and Company safety regulations and requirements. Excellent written communication skills. Demonstrates problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of personal computers, typing, driving various types of vehicles, speaking/ writing, FAX machines, and telephone. Must be mature; possess excellent communication skills, (verbal, written and proofreading), and the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization. Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills and very detail oriented. Highly proficient in MS Office Application including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Full Time.

Security Manager
Full
Manages safety and security programs for the company and oversees security department operations and training. Responsible for developing, coordinating and maintaining safety/security and compliance training, Saflok operations, and represents security in planning meetings for convention, special events and other functions. Acts in an advisory capacity to the Security Director on general operations and staff development and represents the Director in his absence. Oversees readiness of security department operations, training and equipment. Develop, coordinate and implement effective safety and security training for company and department management to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Ensures proper communication and practice of safety/security policy and procedure within the company. Develop, oversee and maintain the Gold Strike Safety Committee and all safety sub groups. Enforces Mississippi gaming control regulations and administrative controls. Oversee and coordinate Saflok system operations, training and maintenance of hotel locks and master keys. Frequently review and investigate employee/guest accidents and incidents. Liaison with Risk Management. Coordinate and assist with inspections by our insurance carriers, state and local Fire Marshals and OSHA. Constantly review Corporate and OSHA Regulations and Programs and ensure the company is in compliance. Frequently conduct property safety/security inspections and provide abatement suggestions to affected departments. Conduct regular audits of company employee’s performance and knowledge of Safety and Security related programs. Security liaison for outside agencies, convention, special events, and other activities. Acts in an advisory capacity to the Security Director on general operations and staff development. Other duties as assigned by the Director. Responsible for all aspects of the security department in the absence of the Director. Bachelor degree and five years of safety/security experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Previous supervision or management experience required.

Security Officer
Full
This position enforces all Gaming/Hotel policies to ensure a safe, fair, and efficient operation of Gold Strike while providing excellent guest service throughout the facility. A High School diploma of equivalent and two years of security experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Casino experience is a plus. Must be 21 years of age and must be able to obtain a Mississippi Gaming Permit. Valid Driver's License required.
