AAA members recognized MGM Resorts Mississippi properties in the second annual AAA Best of the South poll. Southern Traveler readers voted for their favorite places to visit, eat and play in 20 categories. Editors of the magazine selected Tunica's Gold Strike Casino Resort as the Best Casino.

Gold Strike has been voted as a Finalist in three categories this year including Best Casino for Staying, Best Casino for Paying and Best Casino for Entertainment.

Gold Strike Casino Resort Tunica walked away with 24 awards in Casino Player's 15th Annual Best of Gaming Awards presented by the readers of Casino Player magazine including Tunica's Best Hotel, Best Nightclub and Best Bar/Lounge and Best Spa.

More than 43,000 people cast online and printed ballots in the magazine's ninth annual Readers Choice awards. Awards were broken down by region. Gold Strike also walked away with 17 awards including Best Rooms, Best Suites, and Best Buffet.

Gold Strike's Chicago Steakhouse Named 2011 Wine Spectator magazine's Award of Excellence Winner. This is the fifth consecutive year Gold Strike's Chicago Steakhouse has received this prestigious recognition.

Distinguished Restaurants of North America (DiRONA)
The non-profit DiRONA operates an independent restaurant evaluation and rewards program for restaurants across North America based on a stringent, anonymous inspection system. The 75-point evaluations look at every facet of the dining experience from the silverware and place settings to the wait staff and food. Gold Strike Tunica's Chicago Steakhouse has earned a spot on the coveted list and joins Beau Rivage's BR PRIME among only three Mississippi restaurants selected.

Gold Strike Tunica Gold Strike Banquet Captain Wanlisa Pollard was honored as the Food & Beverage Employee of the Year by the Metropolitan Memphis Hotel & Lodging Association. The award recognizes a person for their exceptional service based on both personal performance and guest recognition.

Gold Strike Tunica Casino Marketing Senior Executive Host Heather Goff, was selected by the readers of Tunica Times as the 2011 Casino Employee of the Year. The 15th Annual People's Choice Awards invited readers to pick their person and business of the year in 80 different categories. Ms. Goff was voted the winner in the Casino Employee category.
