TUNICA, Miss. (Dec. 5, 2025) — Gold Strike Casino Resort is stepping into 2026 like royalty as it throws its “Behind the Velvet Rope” New Year’s Eve party that’s complete with live performances by local favorites Thump Daddy, DJ TJ Harris and Paperchase and the crowning of the 2026 King or Queen of Gold Strike!

The Dec. 31 event is free and open to the public, and guests must be 21 or older to attend.

Thump Daddy takes the party back to the good ol’ days in the Live Oak Ballroom starting at 8 p.m. Based out of Memphis, Tennessee, Thump Daddy is on a mission to make the masses dance by bringing the groove from eras past, from the ‘60s to current chart-topping hits.

DJ TJ Harris takes over the turntables in Drafts starting at 8 p.m. The Pittsburgh native has earned a reputation in the entertainment business with his beat-dropping performances. He’s opened for some of the world’s biggest stars, including DMX, Florida Georgia Line, Doug E. Fresh and more.

Paperchase kicks off at Stage 2 at 10:30 p.m. and counts Gold Strike down to midnight. Considered the Gulf Coast’s ultimate party band, Paperchase is based out of New Orleans and brings the party with its eclectic performances that blend genres like R&B, hip-hop, rock, country and rap into high-energy mashups that keep dancers on their toes.

Gold Strike is raising the stakes with its Claim Your Crown drawing on Dec. 31. At 8 p.m., one name will be drawn to become King or Queen of Gold Strike that includes a stay in Gold Strike’s penthouse suite, dining at all Gold Strike restaurants, a spa treatment, $10,000 in Rewards or table play and an appearance on a Gold Strike billboard. Entries can be earned beginning Dec. 31. The winner must be present to win.
